Russell Harvard and Susan Pourfar to Lead Los Angeles Run of Tribes

Original Tribes stars Russell Harvard, Susan Pourfar, Will Brill and Gayle Rankin will reprise their roles when Nina Raibes' family drama plays Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum this spring. Directed by David Cromer, the production will also feature Lee Roy Rogers and Jeff Sill, who took over roles in the current off-Broadway production. Previews will begin February 27, with opening night set for March 10. The limited engagement will run through April 14.

Tribes follows Billy, a young deaf man who struggles to make his opinions heard in his loud, British family. When he meets Sylvia (Pourfar), a young woman who is beginning to lose her hearing, he connects with her in ways he never has with his own family. The acclaimed off-Broadway production opened at the Barrow Street Theatre on March 4 and will conclude its run on January 20.
